December 2020--An Old-Fashioned Christmas is what everyone yearns for right now. This year, more than ever before, we yearn for the traditions of an Old-Fashioned Christmas. While the pandemic has caused our usual celebrations to be scaled back for safety reasons, Hearthside House still offers up the magic and wonder of the holiday with stunning decorations, a cozy fire, and twinkling trees throughout two floors of this beautiful home where over 200 years, several different families gathered to celebrate the holidays.

A special treat awaits with Santa Claus making his appearance at the rooftop, as he opens the door of his third floor workshop to greet children as they approach. Wish lists are encouraged and Santa's elf will hand deliver the letters so Santa may respond to the children directly. After a self-guided tour to view 11 decorated rooms, a stop in the museum's Gift Shop offers up a variety of unique gifts. Lots of great photo opportunities and even a picture with "Santa" outdoors as a memento of Christmas 2020.

A visit to Hearthside Museum during the holiday season has been a popular tradition for many families, but unlike other years, this year will be different in light of the pandemic. Timed admissions and advance registrations will limit the number of visitors in the house at once. To register, visit www.hearthsidehouse.org or call 726-0597.
