Afternoon Tea on May 9th to Celebrate Mother’s Day

Celebrate Mother's Day a day early with an elegant afternoon tea at Hearthside on Saturday, May 8th . This tea is like no other, set in the charm and historic ambience of this magnificent home with an elaborate traditional tea menu. Also included is a presentation on Victorian customs. There is just one seating which will be at 2 p.m.


The essence of a bygone era is captured with spring flowers, elegant hats, delicate table settings of linen, lace and fine china, fancy finger foods and tea served by ladies in Victorian dresses. Treat mom and yourself to a nostalgic, delightful afternoon of conversation and relaxing with a cup of tea while enjoying the delicacies of a traditional tea. Ladies are encouraged to show their feminine side by wearing their finest hats and gloves if you have them. A presentation on Victorian customs of the language of the glove and tradition of calling cards will be given. Prizes will be awarded for the most beautiful and most unusual hats. Buy a special gift in the Hearthside gift shop for your mom or yourself, and take a tour of the 10-room home.  The event will conclude by 4 p.m.
