SPECIAL RAFFLE - “WIN A CHANCE TO DINE WITH PRESIDENT LINCOLN” AT CIVIL WAR RE-ENACTMENT SEPT. 12”

This year's Civil War Re-enactment on Sept. 12-13 will feature a professional Abraham Lincoln interpreter, Phillip Chetwynd, in celebration of the Lincoln Bicentennial.  Abe will be with us throughout the weekend, walking through the encampments, talking with spectators, being interviewed by the press and reviewing and meeting with the troops.

Here's a chance to get behind the scenes and spend a bit more time with him, up close and personal.  A raffle to "Win a Dinner with President Lincoln and General Ulysses S. Grant and Mrs. Grant" is being held as part of the weekend event.  It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to step back in time to 1864 and enjoy an authentic period dinner in the Union commander's tent with these key figures from the Civil War, right in the heart of the Chase Farm Civil War Re-enactment.  The prize will be for the winner and their guests (up to 3).  The winners will be provided with appropriate period clothing for the evening.  Inside the commander's tent, a small group will enjoy a campfire meal that would have been served to dignitaries.  Following dinner, everyone will be invited to take a Candlelight Tour of the encampment and view the dramatic night artillery firing.  At the conclusion of the evening, the outfits will be turned back in and in remembrance of this special evening, a professional photo will be given to the winner of their Civil War experience.

Tickets are $5 each, or 5 tickets for $10, and may be purchased here
